Windows Update の更新プログラムの確認が、「更新プログラムを確認しています…」からまったく進まない機種が多くありました。

機能更新であれば、そのまま放置するのですが、セキュリティ関連の更新が進まないのは大きな問題です。

今回、実験的に Windows 7 sp1 x86 では、KB3172605 を Windows 8.1 x64 では、 KB3172614 を夫々スタンドアローンインストーラーで試してみました。

注意点があります。スタンドアローンインストーラーのインストーラーを起動すると、「このコンピューター上の更新プログラムを検索しています…」の状態で前に進みません。

Windows 8.1 x64 では LAN を遮断しても改善しませんでした。

今回確認した方法は、コントロールパネル -> Windows Update -> 設定の変更 -> 「更新プログラムを確認しない（非推奨）」に変更しました。一瞬でスタンドアローンインストーラーがインストールの準備に入りました。

KB3172605 , KB3172614 には未だ未解明な部分が多くありますが、今回はセキュリティを最優先にしました。今後不具合があれば報告します。

Windows 8 の「セーフモードの起動方法」と「システム修復ディスクの作成」、「システムイメージバックアップ」の作成

Windows 8 環境の方は、Windows Update の前に手動で確実に復元ポイントの作成を推奨します。使用されているPCでのセーフモードの起動方法の確認と「システム修復ディスクの作成」、定期的な「システムイメージバックアップ」の作成も検討下さい。
